I Was
Before beginning this literary experience, I was without many lessons. After reading all of the novels and novellas this year, I have come away with a new sense of self and a new and bright-eyed view of the world I am about to truly enter head-first for the first time. Looking forward, I would like to provide some quotes that have shaped the person I am and are good to keep in mind as we approach graduation. (ones bolded are the ones I really like)

Congratulations, guys! We did it! I'm proud of all of you, and I can't wait to see how you all take on the world.

Awn this is cute, now I wished I had done quotes like this. I especially like the Dr. Suess ones because I also used a quote by Dr. Suess for my senior quote. I also like Michelle Obama's because in TOK we often have discussions about change in the world but think it isn't possible. This is definitely applicable for our lives in college because we are going out into the world in order to make it a better place or to better ourselves. I love you!!
ReplyDeleteGrace Copeland: I wish a senior last year would've shown me these quotes and said that is how they felt at the end of their senior year, because I feel like this year lasted 5 minutes, and even though I did everything there was to do, it feels like it wasn't enough. I think I'm the only person that doesn't want to leave high school :( #IPeakedInHighSchool
ReplyDeleteThis was such a smart idea, and I absolutely loved reading all these! I hadn't seen a lot of these before so thanks for the variety and amount of quotes, I feel inspired :) I especially liked the C.S. Lewis "There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind" quote because it speaks to my fears about leaving home for college and all the opportunities that come with it. Awesome post and also happy birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea, and really has me inspired to finish the year off strong!! I enjoyed reading all of the quotes haha but really wish you would have related to at least one a little more and see how you personally connected to it! I would have to agree with Grace this senior year did fly by really fast and it felt like just yesterday summer was over and now were all going to be off to college wow! Overall cute blogpost!! Have a good one at UNC <3
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy all of these quotes. I totally wish I saw a lot of these before choosing a senior quote but it's fine. Particularly, I really love Oscar Wilde's quote, "You can never be overdressed or overeducated" . As a whole, this is a really really great post and I am going to miss you ever so much next year :,)
ReplyDeleteOlivia I really like your post!! This was so fun and I love all of the inspirational quotes that you included. You are going to have such a bright future and I am so glad that I will be able to see you succeed at UNC!! You are truly such a kind and beautiful person inside and out; I am so lucky to know people like you and I am glad that we have another four years together, #GDTBATH!!!
